Celebrating Rural Excellence at the Stranraer Agricultural Show 2025
On a bright and bustling Wednesday, the Stranraer Agricultural Show once again proved why it remains one of Dumfries and Galloway’s most cherished rural events. Held at the London Road Playing Fields, the show brought together the very best of local livestock, food and drink, and traditional crafts in a vibrant celebration of our region’s agricultural heritage
We were delighted to see Finlay Carson MSP and John Cooper MP, Councillor Ivor Hyslop and chairman William Moses in attendance, engaging with constituents and championing the values of our rural communities. The representatives took the opportunity to speak with farmers, producers, and local families about the issues that matter most—from agricultural policy and rural connectivity to support for local enterprise
The Dumfries and Galloway Conservative and Unionist Association is proud to support events like the Stranraer Show, which showcase the resilience, innovation, and community spirit that define our region.
As always, we remain committed to standing up for rural Scotland and ensuring that voices from across Dumfries and Galloway are heard loud and clear in Council, Holyrood and Westminster.
